Third-party licenses and notices
Cloth neXt is a commercial PolyWorks product made of several components. Each one keeps its own license. Purchase terms are on the pricing page.
AETHER and the PPF Contact Solver
AETHER integrates the unmodified PPF Contact Solver developed by ST Tech / ZOZO, distributed under the Apache License 2.0. AETHER is the name Cloth neXt uses for this engine; the underlying solver was not developed by PolyWorks, and its authors do not endorse Cloth neXt.
- Source and official releases: github.com/st-tech/ppf-contact-solver
- License: Apache License, Version 2.0
- Distribution: installed from the official upstream release. PolyWorks does not host, mirror or repackage it.
The copyright, license and notice files published with the upstream release apply unchanged. Nothing in a Cloth neXt license limits the rights the Apache License 2.0 grants you for this software, and no PolyWorks license is needed to use it under those terms.
GAIA
GAIA is derived from the PPF Contact Solver developed by ST Tech / ZOZO (Apache License 2.0) and contains modifications by PolyWorks. It has not been released. Every GAIA build will ship with the upstream license and notices, a statement of the changes made by PolyWorks, and the notices of any further third-party components it contains.
Cloth neXt add-on code
The Blender add-on code is licensed under the GNU General Public License, version 3 or later. The source is published on GitHub. Buying a license does not limit the rights the GPL grants.
